Hue Doors (“we”, “our”, or “us”) provides huedoors.com and Shopify apps including Food Label JP Light, SafetyDocs Lite, HueWrap, Hue Doors Cart Code, and Hue Doors Easy Export (collectively, the “Services”). This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when merchants use the Services.
1. Information we process
- Store information required for Shopify app authentication, such as shop domain, session information, and access tokens.
- Merchant-provided product information, including food label data, safety information, warnings, manufacturer/importer/EU responsible person details, identifiers, manual links, and certificate links.
- For Hue Doors Easy Export, Shopify order and product information requested by the merchant for CSV or Excel export, plus saved export templates and usage counters.
- Support information that merchants send to us, such as name, email address, store URL, issue details, and screenshots.
- Standard web server or hosting logs may include IP address, user agent, request time, and similar technical data.
2. How we use information
- Authenticate, operate, maintain, and secure the Shopify apps.
- Save, load, and display merchant-provided product information.
- Generate merchant-requested CSV and Excel downloads, enforce plan quotas, and save export template settings for Hue Doors Easy Export.
- Investigate issues and provide merchant support.
- Respond to lawful requests and Shopify platform requirements.
3. Product data storage
Core product information for Food Label JP Light and SafetyDocs Lite is generally stored in Product Metafields in the merchant’s Shopify store. Authentication session data may be processed and stored separately on infrastructure used to operate the apps.
4. Customer and order data
Food Label JP Light, SafetyDocs Lite, HueWrap, and Hue Doors Cart Code do not rely on buyer order data for their core features. Hue Doors Easy Export reads merchant-selected order and product information through Shopify permissions (read_orders and read_products) to generate exports. Order information may constitute Shopify protected customer data. The app does not request customer names, email addresses, phone numbers or postal addresses as export fields. Access to older orders is subject to Shopify restrictions and applicable approvals.
Hue Doors Easy Export generates CSV/XLSX downloads when requested, without retaining generated files or copies of the exported order/product contents in its application database. The app retains only essential Shopify sessions, saved export settings, and usage/limit counters. Merchants control files downloaded to their own devices.
5. Service providers
We rely on Shopify and infrastructure or hosting providers used to operate the apps and website. Those providers may process information under their own terms and privacy policies.
6. Retention and deletion
Support information may be retained as reasonably necessary for support, security, and recordkeeping. Product metafields in a merchant’s Shopify store are subject to merchant actions, app behavior, and Shopify platform behavior. For Hue Doors Easy Export, saved templates, session data, and usage information are removed when supported authenticated Shopify uninstallation or shop-redaction requests are processed, subject to applicable legal obligations. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer reasonably necessary, unless retention is required by law.
7. Data rights and Shopify privacy requirements
We respond to applicable data-rights requests and Shopify-mandated privacy/compliance requests, including mandatory compliance webhooks, as required. Contact us at the address below for privacy questions.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards. No method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our Services, laws, or Shopify requirements change. Material updates will be posted on this page.
