Hue Doors (“we”, “our”, or “us”) provides huedoors.com and Shopify apps including Food Label JP Light and SafetyDocs Lite (collectively, the “Services”). This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when merchants use the Services.

1. Information we process

  • Store information required for Shopify app authentication, such as shop domain, session information, and access tokens.
  • Merchant-provided product information, including food label data, safety information, warnings, manufacturer/importer/EU responsible person details, identifiers, manual links, and certificate links.
  • Support information that merchants send to us, such as name, email address, store URL, issue details, and screenshots.
  • Standard web server or hosting logs may include IP address, user agent, request time, and similar technical data.

2. How we use information

  • Authenticate, operate, maintain, and secure the Shopify apps.
  • Save, load, and display merchant-provided product information.
  • Investigate issues and provide merchant support.
  • Respond to lawful requests and Shopify platform requirements.

3. Product data storage

Core product information for Food Label JP Light and SafetyDocs Lite is generally stored in Product Metafields in the merchant’s Shopify store. Authentication session data may be processed and stored separately on infrastructure used to operate the apps.

4. Customer and order data

The current core functionality of our apps does not require buyer customer data or order data. If future features change this, we will update permissions and this Privacy Policy as appropriate.

5. Service providers

We rely on Shopify and infrastructure or hosting providers used to operate the apps and website. Those providers may process information under their own terms and privacy policies.

6. Retention and deletion

Support information may be retained as reasonably necessary for support, security, and recordkeeping. Product metafields in a merchant’s Shopify store are subject to merchant actions, app behavior, and Shopify platform behavior. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer reasonably necessary, unless retention is required by law.

7. Data rights and Shopify privacy requirements

We respond to applicable data-rights requests and Shopify-mandated privacy/compliance requests, including mandatory compliance webhooks, as required. Contact us at the address below for privacy questions.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards. No method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our Services, laws, or Shopify requirements change. Material updates will be posted on this page.
